Partnerships & Procurement

We buy for schools often enough to know what things should cost and which suppliers answer the phone in August.

Procurement

The service

What this actually is.

Procurement is where school budgets quietly leak. Not through corruption, usually — through single quotations, specifications written by the supplier, and nobody having time to compare like with like. The remedy is unglamorous: a written specification, three real comparisons, and someone who has bought this before reading the small print.

Our network spans manufacturers, publishers and suppliers across India and the UAE, built over years of buying for our own schools. We will tell you where the cheaper option is genuinely the right one, which is the only way an honest comparison is worth anything.

Coverage

What this covers.

Seven strands of work, each one explained and pictured. Take the whole of it, or the one strand your school is short on.

  • Supplier identification

Finding suppliers who can actually meet your specification, volume and timeline, including ones outside the usual short list.

  • Educational product sourcing

Sourcing specific products — a piece of laboratory apparatus, a furniture finish, a title, a uniform fabric — rather than substituting the nearest stocked item.

  • Supplier and school connections

Introductions that come with context on both sides, so the relationship survives past the first order.

  • Comparative evaluation

Like-for-like comparison against a written specification, with the trade-offs stated in plain language and our recommendation on the record.

  • Procurement coordination

Running the process: specification, quotations, clarification, award, and the follow-up that makes the delivery date real.

  • Strategic educational partnerships

Longer-term arrangements with publishers, technology providers and manufacturers where continuity is worth more than a one-off price.

  • India and UAE business connections

A working bridge between two educational markets: manufacturing and talent on one side, schools and investment on the other.

Deliverables

What you end up holding.

Deliverables, not intentions. Each of these is a thing that exists at the end of the engagement and can be pointed at.

  1. A written specification

What you are buying, in enough detail that two suppliers' prices mean the same thing.

  2. A comparison you can defend

Quotations set side by side on the same terms, with our recommendation and the reasoning behind it.

  3. A coordinated award

The order placed, the terms agreed, and the delivery date committed to in writing.

  4. Delivery follow-through

Chasing, reconciliation and issue resolution done by us, so it does not land on your business manager.

Looking ahead

Where we are taking procurement with AI.

Procurement is comparison work: one requirement, priced six different ways, with the differences buried in the specifications. Machines are good at that comparison. People are good at deciding who to trust.

  • Quotations compared line by line

Specifications and prices normalised into one comparison, with the differences the covering letter did not mention pulled out into the open.

    What that looks like

Six quotations on one page, with the two that quietly excluded delivery marked as such.

  • Sourcing beyond the usual three names

Supplier discovery across India, the UAE and further afield, with capability and compliance checked before a name is put in front of a school.

    What that looks like

A shortlist of five manufacturers, two of which nobody in the market had shown you.

  • Delivery tracked to the classroom door

Orders, shipments and customs milestones held in one thread, with a slip flagged when it happens rather than when it is already late.

    What that looks like

A container held at customs surfaces on the Tuesday, not on the delivery date.

In development, and labelled that way deliberately. Ask where each of these stands when you enquire — we will tell you what is running, what is being built and what is still on the bench.

The route

What happens if you enquire.

The same five stations every project travels, applied to procurement.

  1. Enquiry

You tell us what you need to buy, and what your last attempt at buying it cost you in money or in time.

  2. Specification and quotation

We write the specification, gather real comparisons, and quote our own coordination separately so you can see it.

  3. Models and samples

Samples from the shortlisted suppliers, judged against the specification rather than against a brochure.

  4. Award and manufacture

Order placed on agreed terms; production and lead times monitored against the date you were promised.

  5. Delivery

Delivered, reconciled, and any shortfall or defect pursued by us until it is closed.

Questions

Questions we get asked.

Do you take commission from suppliers?

Ask us this directly and we will answer it directly for your engagement, in writing, before you appoint us. An honest comparison is the entire product here; if how we are paid could compromise it, you are entitled to know.

Can you work with suppliers we already use?

Yes. Often the fastest win is fixing the specification and the terms with an incumbent rather than changing supplier.

Is there a minimum size?

No. Thirty benches is a real enquiry and gets a real quotation.
